India has seen improvements in nearly all childhood health indicators but we still have a long way to go, because according to ICDS, 2015 19.8 million of children below age 6 are undernourished. According to latest NFHS’s data, only 9.6% of children between 6-23 months receive an adequate diet, 1 in 3 children in the country are stunted, 1 in 5 suffer from wasting and 36% of children under 5 years are underweight. All the mentioned surveys are seen mostly as Disease of Poverty as they are more prevalent among the poor than among people who are capable of affording health care. Poverty can been seen as the leading factor.
Today many non-profitable organizations have taken steps in improving the future of children, Nayati Paediatric Program wants to do their bit too. Our charity programs will promote and provide solutions and inclusive, unsurpassed, highest quality of care. We as an organization understand and value the lives of the future of our nation, kids. An increasing number of kids and children under 18 years of age are suffering from life-threatening diseases and conditions. These numbers are especially high in tier II & tier III cities and in most cases, these young patients need dedicated and prolonged treatment, something which their families and parents with limited or no incomes cannot afford. For them, these factors make proper care and healing a distant dream.
